Melissa Blais - Owner/Director
Melissa is the winner of many National Awards for her choreography and is currently a competition judge and master teacher for Dancers Inc competitions and conventions. She is listed as "Someone to Watch" by Dance Spirit & Dance Teacher magazines. Melissa was a dance major at Dean College and Rutgers University where she was also part of the nationally ranked RU Dance Team. After college she had the opportunity to dance for Disney World's Magic Kingdom. Her success continued with television credits including Principal dance roles for Budweiser, ESPN and Pepsi commercials. Melissa continued her success as a New England Patriots Cheerleader and performed in New Orleans at Super Bowl XXXVI. Melissa most currently prides herself on being one of the top choreographers in the north east with awards such as "Top Choreographer" and "Most Creative" and looks forward to much continued success with JUST DANCE!
Melissa Lloyd - Assistant Director
Melissa has been dancing since she was a young girl. While still in high school she became a certified member of the Dance Teachers Club of Boston. Melissa continued her studies at Fitchburg State College. She was the President of the FSC Dance Company for 2 years and directed and produced the most attended, standing room only, event. While a member and Director of this company Melissa created the opportunity to dance with tap legend, Diane Walker.
Since college, Melissa's choreography has been seen throughout the Merrimack Valley. She has been the choreographer and dance director for the North Andover and Methuen High School musicals. Some of her works include: Jekyl and Hyde, Crazy For You, The Wiz, How To Succeed In Business Without Even Trying and One Touch of Venus.
Melissa choreography has received several special awards and the Overall High Score Winner for the Senior Division at the Showstopper Dance Competition. This year Melissa will be teaching Preschool, Grade School, and Recreational and Competitive Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Lyrical. Melissa and her husband, David, have one daughter, Emily 8 and 2 sons, Ben 20, and Luke 16.
Katie McVey
Katie has been dancing since the age of four. She grew up studying ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, and lyrical at North Andover School of Dance. She is a certified dance teacher through the Dance Teacher's Club of Boston's dance teacher training course. Katie is going on her sixth year teaching dance. She teaches competitive teams as well as recreational classes throughout the Merrimack Valley. She is currently a senior at Dean College where she will be graduating with her BA in Dance. She appears in many of the college's dance performances some of which include the annual Dance Cabaret performance as well as in the annual Dance Company performance. She has also performed in the corps de ballet of the Pioneer Valley Ballet's, "The Nutcracker" in 2005.
